| Fat Grafting |
|
Fat Grafting, as facial filler, is a process which is used to improvise the sunken areas and creased areas on the face. It is also used to enhance the lips and cheeks by adding fullness to them. This procedure removes small amounts of fat from one part of the body and re-implant it where needed. It is usually taken from body parts like the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks, and injected into another area that requires plumping, such as a patient’s facial features including lips, cheeks. The fat can be implanted to the lips, the folds from the corners of your mouth to your nose, the under eye areas, the cheeks and other parts of face and body. The procedure can be used alone or in combination with other procedures such as facelift. It can restore the youthful looks of an otherwise aging face. |

Then the fat spun in a centrifuge to remove excess fluids and the damaged fat cells which are picked out and only undamaged fat cells would be used. The transferred fat will be re-vascularize and survive in the new location that needs to plump. The fat is then injected with the use of a separate smaller blunt cannula. The autologous fat transfer process will be repeated until the desired correction has been achieved. It may be combined with other surgical procedures for enhanced results. |
